A website is not just Quantcast ranks and meta information. There is a whole lot more to it. Let's give it a proper look now, shall we?

j.gs Safety Information

Website safety is a key factor that should not be underestimated. After all, our computers and personal information stored on them are not as secure as one might think - the recent flaws found in microprocessors only confirm this. There is more than one source for finding out if a website is safe to visit or not, some more dependable than others. In this section we'll try to cover all the bases, if at all possible.

• Craeted by Symantec - a California based cyber security experts - Norton is among the most recognized security solutions you'll come across. Because of that, we put a lot of faith in their findings. Symantec assessed j.gs with its Norton software and found it to be no_data. The experts did not identify any annoyance factors on the website. Symantec could not find any computer threats. And to finish this report on a bright note, no identity threats were found!
• We will be honest, whether to include WoT (or Web of Trust) assessment in this report or not has been a lengthy debate. Unlike the imperious Symantec (the company behind cyber security software Norton), WoT is less than trustworthy, as ironic as that may sound. A whole bunch of their negative reports are known to be completely wrong and even damaged the reputation of a few websites. What's arguably much worse, WoT actually sold/distributed personal user data to third parties without the former's consent. Still... just in case they are right, even if one time out of a hundred, we figured it was worth including their assessments. Just keep the context in mind and don't trust them blindly. Overall, WoT has given j.gs a Trustworthiness rating of 72 out of 10. As far as Child Safety rating is concerned, it's been rated at 72 out of 100. Keep in mind Web of Trust is not exactly trustworthy, and it's hard to imagine such a reputation dissolving anytime soon.
• We've heard little bad about Sucuri, a company started back in 2010 by Daniel B. Cid and now owned by the well-known registrar GoDaddy. It may not be an old company, but they are still online security experts and thus definitely deserve a mention. More so than quite a few others, cough-WoT-cough. According to the online security expert, Site Potentially Harmful. Finally, it would seem the website is Blacklisted (10 Blacklists Checked): Indicates that a major security company (such as Google, McAfee, Norton, etc) is blocking access to your website for security reasons.

The following statistics are provided only as an approximation. We can't guarantee the numbers are absolutely correct, but we do believe they are very much within the ballpark and, as such, can give a pretty good idea about the popularity of this website.
Let's start with some telling numbers and then break it all down.

Page speed overview

• It takes around 0.5518 seconds for the homepage to fully load. This is a very good result, as search engines prioritize websites that are quick to load.
• It's worth to note the HTML of the page is around 37.5 kilobytes in size. A good result that should not impact load speed in any negative way.
• Judging by tags, the homepage contains at least 2 images. A great amount! Not too many, at least. Images should not impact page load speed negatively.

Alexa rank up close and personal

Alexa, perhaps the oldest ranking system of its sort, bases it's website rating on approximated number of visitors of a specific page. In other words, the more visitors, the higher the global and local ranks. As of recently, Alexa has well over four million websites ranked. Having said all that, Alexa rank should be taken with a grain of salt. Or a massive bucketload. In other words, we think it to be greatly overrated, as it never takes into account how popular a website is within its niche.

• Alexa claims j.gs takes up 5,274 place globally, among all the indexed websites. We updated this information on 2018-01-19.
• Compare that to the best rank this website has taken 2016-11-23, which is 2,885.
• The delta of this rank over the last three months is around 145.
• As far as we know, the worst position for j.gs was 6,717 (on 2016-04-01).
• The average Alexa rank for j.gs is 4,476 at this time.
• It's worth to mention that in Hungary, j.gs is in 122 place.

QUANTCAST rating in detail

QUANTCAST is very similar to Alexa, though perhaps enjoys an overall better user opinion even if, by comparison, the data processing company's rank index is smaller. The main interest of QUANTCAST is real-time audience analysis, so again the rank is based on traffic. QUANTCAST gathers this data mainly for advertising purposes of other companies. What is a server?
